What a brand film actually costs in Dubai

Most agencies in Dubai will quote you a brand film without telling you what's inside the number. You get a one-line total, a deck full of moodboards, and no idea why the same brief costs 18,000 AED from one studio and 90,000 from the next. Here's the honest version.

The number is mostly people and time

A brand film budget is rarely about the camera. It's about how many skilled people are on set, and for how long. A one-day shoot with a small crew, one location, and a two-week edit is a different animal from a three-day, multi-location production with a full lighting team, talent, and a colourist.

When a quote looks suspiciously cheap, one of three things is true: the crew is junior, the days are compressed to the point of risk, or the post-production is rushed. None of those show up on the moodboard. All of them show up on screen.

Where Dubai budgets get wasted

  • Over-scoping the shoot, under-scoping the edit. Teams blow the budget on a big shoot day, then have nothing left for the grade and sound that make footage feel premium.
  • Paying for drone-and-marble templates. If the treatment looks like every other real-estate film in the city, you're paying full price for something forgettable.
  • Revisions with no ceiling. "Unlimited revisions" means the price already assumes chaos. Two rounds with a clear brief beats ten rounds with a vague one.

What you should actually pay for

A treatment written for your brand, not a recycled deck. A crew sized to the brief. A real colour grade and sound mix. And a fixed price that doesn't grow line items halfway through.

That's the whole game: know what's in the number, and make sure the money lands on screen instead of in overhead.

If you want a brief priced this way — transparent, fixed, no surprise invoices — send it over and we'll come back inside a business day.
